Starting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 28, all of Queensland is subject to Stage Three restrictions.

Up to 100 people can gather in homes and there is no limit for people meeting in public spaces.

Additional restrictions are in place for some LGAs in the southeast, including changes to the rules for face masks and visiting elderly care facilities.

Starting at 1 a.m. on September 29, 2021, additional restrictions on face masks will be in place for people who have been to Brisbane, Gold Coast and Moreton Bay since 1 a.m. on September 19.

There are also new mask rules for anyone across the state who attends a stadium event.

As of 1:00 a.m. AEST on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, the Tweed Shire and Byron Shire LGAs are no longer considered a concern and are part of the unrestricted border area.

Residents of Tweed Shire or Byron Shire and residents of Queensland traveling to these areas will be able to cross the border bubble for work, education, compassionate care and essential shopping provided they have received a dose of the vaccine. .
