Property tax invoices sent by mail |

EUREKA – Woodford County Treasurer Melissa Andrews has announced that 2021 property tax bills due in 2022 will be mailed April 29, 2022 to all property owners in Woodford County. The due date for the first installment will be Friday, June 3, 2022 and the due date for the second installment will be Friday, September 2, 2022. Taxes paid after the due dates will incur a penalty of 1.5% per month. A penalty calculation table appears on the payment coupons indicating the amounts to be paid, including penalties, in the event of payment after the due dates.

Images of Woodford County tax bills can now be viewed and printed on the county’s website at www.woodford-county.org. Click on “Taxes” at the bottom of the home page, then click on “Woodford County Property Tax Search”. You can search by parcel number, owner name or property address. Display or print the tax account by selecting “Tax account” in the list on the right.

Payment Options: Owners have several payment options, all of which are listed on the back of the tax bill. You can send your payment, postmarked, to the Woodford County Collector at 115 N. Main Street, Suite 105, Eureka, IL 61530. You can pay at any of the local banks listed on the back of the tax invoice. You can schedule a bill payment online with your bank. Fees can also be paid with most major credit cards, debit cards, or by e-check, either over the internet by visiting www.woodford-county.org and by clicking on “click here to pay property taxes” or by phone at 1-877-637-1395. There will be a convenience fee of 2.35% plus $1.50 per transaction fee charged for credit and debit card payments, and only a $2.00 fee for electronic checks. You can pay in person by check or cash at the Woodford County Treasurer’s Office at the Courthouse, however, credit/debit card payments are not accepted in person at our office.

Once homeowners receive their tax bill, they should review it and ensure they receive all of the exemptions to which they are entitled. A list of exemptions and qualifications can be found on the back of the tax bill. For grading or waiver questions, please contact the grading supervisor’s office at (309) 467-3708.

If owners do not receive a tax bill, they should contact the treasurer’s office or search for public information on the county website. Failure to receive an invoice does not relieve the taxpayer of the obligation to pay and penalties will be imposed if paid after the due dates.
