Figment Design Names Marketing Director Beverly Nicholson-Doty CEO

[MIAMI] – Beverly Nicholson-Doty, a veteran travel marketing executive, has been named chief executive of Figure designannounced the Miami-based marketing and advertising agency.

Decades of experience

Nicholson-Doty is a former president of the Caribbean Tourism Organization. She has over three decades of executive leadership experience. More recently, she served as CEO of Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, the island nation’s premier marketing organization. She was responsible for advancing the Authority’s marketing and destination services. In addition to ably leading the Tourism Authority during the COVID-19 pandemic, she has been instrumental in the development and implementation of Saint Lucia’s Sustainable Tourism Growth Strategy. She worked closely with the Board of Directors to coordinate and lead the country’s marketing and promotions strategy.

Former Tourism Commissioner for the US Virgin Islands

As Commissioner of Tourism for the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism from 2007 to 2018, Nicholson-Doty’s accomplishments included the successful development of the Virgin Islands Ports concept to mark a collaborative effort to elevate the territory’s port facilities. . As Territory Marketing Director, she also created a strategic plan to position the U.S. Virgin Islands as a premier Caribbean destination. This was done through the implementation of robust marketing initiatives. Additionally, she successfully led the territory’s tourism recovery from the back-to-back Category 5 hurricanes of 2017. A key part of this successful effort was deepening relationships with cruise, airline and media partners. of the territory.

Nicholson-Doty served as CEO of the USVI Hotel & Tourism Association for over a decade. His accomplishments include launching a very successful co-operative marketing initiative in the private sector.
