“We are announcing that the movie ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ will be exempt from tax in Uttar Pradesh so that an ordinary man can also watch this movie,” the chief minister told ANI.
This Yogi Adityanath Government announcement came after a special screening of the film for Yogi Cabinet on Thursday. The film’s lead couple Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar attended the special screening alongside director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi.
Earlier on Wednesday, Home Minister Amit Shah also attended a special screening of the film. Seeing the film, the Minister of the Interior was delighted and congratulated the actors and producers. He said: “As a student of history, I not only enjoyed watching this film depicting India’s cultural heritage, but also understood its significance for Indian people.”
Shah revealed that after 13 years he saw a movie in a theater with his family. “I saw a movie in the theater with my family after a hiatus of nearly 13 years. It was a very special day for our family as we sat in the back row of the theater with the cast and producers of the movie,” said the Minister of the Interior.
Highlighting the importance of the film for our culture and the empowerment of women, Amit Shah said, “The film strongly demonstrates the political power and freedom of women to make choices in medieval times.”
Notably, this film will be released in theaters on June 3. For the first time, Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar will be seen in this movie with Akshay Kumar. This is Manushi’s first film. This movie is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi. (ANI)
